스페인 비디오 아트의 어제와 오늘

IVAHM - 스페인 비디오 아트의 어제와 오늘마드리드국제비디오아트하우스(International Video Art House Madred, IVAHM)는 연례 페스티벌을 통해 동시대 비디오 아티스트와 작품 교류의 장을 구축해가고 있다. IVAHM의 디렉터 네스토르 프리에토가 IVAHM의 운영 방식과 스페인 비디오 아트의 역사와 현재의 경향을 소개한다. 그리고 현재 추진 중인 세계 비디오 아트 아카이브 및 연구센터에 대한 소개와 함께 주류 소비 시스템 밖에 위치한 세계의 대안 영상 작가들이 지속적으로 작품을 선보이고 교류할 수 있는 방안을 제안한다.

The History and Today of Video Art in SpainInternational Video Art House Madrid has been playing a role as a network arena for the video artists from the world through its annual festival. As a part of exchange program with NeMaf, Nestor Prieto, the director of IVAHM will share his experience in curating alternative video arts and introduce the current video art scene in Spain. He will also introduce their newly establishing project, Center for Research and Documentation of Video Art to suggest the possibility for a settled archive and platform for the alternative visual arts.
