ARTIST'S NOTE
20년 만에 새로 편집하여 만든 영화 <과-개발의 기억> 를 통해 키들랏 타히믹 감독과 인연을 맺은 나는, 그와 함께 남해로 여행을 떠난다. 영화는 무엇인가? 이미지는 무엇을 위해 기록하는가? 삶에서 호기심을 유지하며 키들랏 자신의 영화감독의 삶과 일상생활의 가장으로서 아버지와 감독의 삶에 균형 잡기를 질문해 본다.
I became acquaintances with Kidlat Tahimik, a director through my movie, Over-Development Memory- we travelled to the South Sea. What is a movie? Why do we record images? With such curiosities in mind, Kidlat reflects on his life: his life as a director, a patriarch, and a father - and their balance in his life.

배윤호 경험의 과정이 빠르고 단순해 가는 시대에서 무엇을 관찰하고 자신의 경험 과정을 어떻게 표현하고 담을 수 있을까 고민하다 다큐멘터리를 찍기 시작하였다. <하늘에 간 박물관>(2009), <서울역>(2013), <옥포조선소 >(2015),<키들랏 타히믹 의 대나무카메라 >(2019) 등의 장편 다큐멘터리를 만들었으며, 공동체 상실에 관한 다큐멘터리를 촬영 중이다.현재 중앙대학교 예술대학 공연영상창작학부 공간연출전공 부교수 로 재직 하고 있다.

BAE Yoonho The director was first drawn to documentaries after his long pondering over what to pay attention to and how to express his experience in a world where experience is fast-changing and simplified. He produced feature documentaries, such as <Museum in the Sky (2009)>, <Seoul Station (2013)>, <Okpo Shipbuilding Yard (2015)>, <Bamboo Camera of Kidlat Tahimik (2019)>, and is now working on a documentary about loss of community. He is also an associate professor in Theatre and Film Design, School of Performing Arts and Media, College of Arts at Chung-Ang University. |
