벤 리버스 

패러스 예술대학에서 순수미술을 전공했고 졸업 후에는 독학으로 16mm 영화 제작과 핸드 프로세싱을 배웠다. 벤 리버스는 자발적으로 사회를 떠나 사는 사람들을 찾아 영화를 만들어 왔으며 조작되지 않은 필름들은 작가에게 주변부의 대안적 삶을 상상하는 간접적인 내러티브의 시작점을 제시한다. 그의 첫 극영화 <바다에서 2년>은 여러 영화제에 노미네이트가 되고 상을 받았다.

Ben RIVERS

Ben Rivers studied Fine Art at Falmouth School of Art, after his degree he taught himself 16mm filmmaking and hand-processing. Often following and filming people who have in some way separated themselves from society, the raw film footage provides RIVERS with a starting point for creating oblique narratives imagining alternative existences in marginal world. His first feature film <Two Years At Sea> was nominated for several film festivals and won awards.
