백정기

1995년 홍익대학교 회화과에서 평면 회화로 미술을 시작했지만, 당시, 표현의 한계를 느끼고 학교를 중퇴했다. 한국예술종합학교 조형예술과를 입학해 회화를 제외한 미디어 표현기술을 습득했다. 하지만 미디어를 다루는 기술을 습득하면 할수록 미디어의 한계에 갇혀버리는 자신을 발견했다. 그래서 미디어의 작동 과정을 통제할 수 있는 대안 미디어를 만들게 되었다. 지금은 시각적으로 편중된 감각습관을 보완하기 위해서 음향에 의한 표현에 대해 고민하고 있다.

BAEK Jung-ki

In 1995, first time, BAEK Jung-ki strated painting at Dep.Fine Art of Hongik University. Then, he realized limitation of representation and left the school halfway. He entered Dep. Plastic Art of Korea National Unversity of Art again and learned representation skill of media out of painting. However, the more he learned to deal with media skill, the more he found out limitation of media and became aware of being locked in media himself. So, he has studied of alternative media that is able to control a process of media work. Recently, he is concerned about presentation of sound for making up sense which leans too much towards on sense of vision
