DESCRIPTION

1945년 해방 당시, 25세 청년이었던 유완옥은 할아버지로부터 곧 전쟁이 닥치게 될 터이니 고향(판문점)을 떠나라는 말을 듣게 되고, 이 말을 믿었던 그는 처자식을 버리고 살아남게 된다. 일제시기로부터 현재까지 이어지는 한국사의 불운한 시대를 관통하는 한 개인의 일생.

In 1945, the year of Korean independence, Yu Wan Ok (25-year-old at that time) who was freed and returned from Japan to his hometown Panmunjom heard from his grandfather that another war will start soon again and he should leave his hometown Panmunjom to find a refuge region. The grandfather wanted him to continue his life and descendents. As a 25-year-old young man, as Yu Wan Ok was in the middle of the chaotic era, he believed about the instable future that he learned from his grandfather. He left his wife and child, and went out to find Sib-seung-ji (the ten refuge regions introduced in Jeong-gahm-rok) by making his life by begging.

김해민 1957년생. 2008년 아트팩토리, 2003년 일민미술관, 1998년 금호미술관 등에서 개인전을 열었고, 1990년 일본 도키아자극장에서 '90 한일 행위 예술제를 시작으로 2011년 <육감 맛사지>, <EMAP-풍경술> 국제미디어아트 전, 2012년 <오> 미디어아트전, <영상 예술의 도시-대구> 미디어아트전, 2013년 <정전 60주년 기념 특별전 – 잃어버린 시간을 찾아서>, <디지털 퍼니처> 미디어아트전까지 많은 단체전에 참여하며 활발한 활동을 하고 있는 미디어아트 작가이다.

KIM Hae-min Born in 1957. KIM Hae-min lives and works in Seoul. He had a number of solo exhibitions in prestigious galleries and museums in Korea and Japan, including media installations in Art Factory Gallery (2008, Korea), Ilmin Museum of Art (2003, Seoul), Kumho Art Museum (1998, Seoul), VA Nisiogi Gallery (1996, Tokyo), Soo Gallery (1995, Seoul) and Mee-Gun Gallery (1994, Seoul).
