1994년 서울대학교 조소과를 졸업하고, 1995년 센트럴 세인트마틴 컬리지 조소과를 수료했으며 1997년 런던대학 골드스미스 컬리지에서 미술석사를 취득했다. 2001 쌈지 스페이스, 2002 후쿠오카 아시아 미술관, 2006 뉴욕 ISCP 등 국내외 레지던시 프로그램에 참여하였다. 2002년 제2회 상하이 비엔날레에서 아시아유럽문화상, 2007년 올해의 작가상, 2008년 올해의 젊은 예술가상을 수상하였다. 파리 엠마뉴엘 페레통 갤러리, 베를린 개브흐 리만 갤러리, 서울 국제 갤러리, 국립현대 미술관 등에서 개인전을 열었으며 여러 단체전에 참여하였다.

JUNG has graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Sculpture in 1994. In 1995 he again earned a Sculpture degree in Central Saint Martin College. He has also received his Master’s certificate of Art Studies at the Goldsmiths University of London. He has been involved in many programs such as 2001 Ssamzi Space, 2002 Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, 2006 International Studio & Curatorial Program in New York. In terms of awards, he received the Asian Europe Culture Award at the 2nd Shanghai Biennale, 2007 Korea Artist Prize, and the 2008 Young Artist Award.
