DESCRIPTION
우연히 미국대사관에서 발송된 경고 메시지를 받고 착상하게 된 작품이다. 폴란드에 거주하는 미국 시민들에게 보안 관련 주의를 알리는 메시지였는데, 위험 정도가 아주 과장되어 있었다. 이 작품은 그 메시지와 폴란드 국경 지대의 초현실적으로 고요한 풍경을 병치해 보여준다.
A video inspired by the US Embassy warning messages I received in error, regarding exaggerated security problems for American citizens residing in Poland. The work juxtaposes messages of national safety with dull images of border crossings in isolated lanscapes to surreal effect.

Przemek WEGRZYN Przemek Wegrzyn is a Poland based visual artist and independent filmmaker. Born in 1977. Graduated from University of Wroclaw and Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. His videos have been exhibited in numerous film and new media festivals worldwide, including: WRO Biennale, Invideo Festival, Taiwan Video Art Exhibition, KLEX and Videofomes. |
