DESCRIPTION
모션 캡쳐와 라이브 퍼포먼스를 이용한 이 3D 비디오는 창세기 19장의 구절을 문자 그대로 재연하려고 한다. 이 작업은 모든 종교가 가진 근본적인 질문을 제시한다: 어떻게 종교적인 이야기들이 인간의 해석을 통하여 신성한 원문을 유지하며 계속 되풀이 될 수 있는가?
Utilising motion capture and live performers, the 3D video attempts a literal re-enactment of the biblical passage of Genesis 19. The work shares an elemental challenge with all religions: how can religious stories be retold without affecting the sacred original text through human interpretation?

Martin SULZER
Martin Sulzer was born in 1977 and obtained Master's degree in Directing at University of Film and Television, Potsdam-Babelsber, Germany. He is an artist working and living in Berlin. In his work he frequently utilizes 3D technology to help immaterialize and translate performers’ movements into motion data. His work has been exhibited and screened in a variety of contexts in more than thirty-five countries. |
