DESCRIPTION
'나의 박물관이라면'은 뮌헨의 하우스데어쿤스트에서 일년동안 열린 장기 전시회에 처음으로 선정된 작품이다. 이 비디오는 박물관 그 자체를 회상한다. 몽타주한 이미지와 텍스트들이 끊임없이 충돌하며 만약 하우스데어쿤스트가 감독 자신의 박물관이었다면 어땠을지를 이야기한다.
If It Was' was first commissioned for the fourth edition of DER ÖFFENTLICHKEIT − Von den Freunden, a year long exhibition at Haus der Kunst in Munich. The video muses on the museum itself and what it might become. As a montage of image and text continually interrupt each other a voiceover speculates about what Haus der Kunst would be like if it was her museum.

로르 프로보스트 로르 프로보스트는 프랑스 릴에서 출생했다. 현재는 영국 런던에 거주하며 활동한다. 그녀는 현대 기술을 이용하여 현재의 ‘우리’와 ‘과거’ 사이의 관계를 탐구하는 멀티미디어 작가이다. 1999년부터 2002년까지 런던 Central Saint Martins에서 영화를 공부했으며, 후에는 Goldsmiths College에서 수학했다. 프로보스트는 런던 MOT 갤러리 소속 작가로 2011년 Max Mara Prize를 수상했다. 2013년에는 작품 Wantee로 Turner Prize를 수상했다. |
Laure PROUVOST Laure Prouvost was born in Lille, France and now lives and works in London. She is a multimedia artist who examines our relationship with the past using modern technology. She studied film at Central Saint Martins in London between 1999 and 2002, and later attended Goldsmiths College. Prouvost, who is represented by MOTINTERNATIONAL, was awarded the Max Mara Prize for Women in 2011. In 2013, she received the Turner Prize for her work Wantee.
