베릿 사흐

 베릿 사흐는 암스테르담에 거주하는 비디오메이커이자 시각예술 작가이다. 앙카라에서는 수학을, 암스테르담에서 오디오비주얼 예술을 공부했다. 그녀의 비디오 작품 배경은 그녀가 프로젝트를 공동으로 시작한 앙카라와 이스탄불의 비디오-액티비스트 단체들에 뿌리를 두고 있는데, karahaber.org(2000-2007)와 bak.ma(터키의 사회 운동에 대한 발전 중인 온라인 오디오비주얼 아카이브)가 이에 해당한다. 최근 비디오 작업은 ‘묘사의 폭력’과 ‘폭력의 묘사’에 집중한다.

 Belit sağ is a videomaker and visual artist living in Amsterdam. She studied mathematics in Ankara; audio-visual arts in Amsterdam. Her video background is rooted in video-activist groups in Ankara and Istanbul, where she co-initiated projects like karahaber.org (2000-2007) and bak.ma (a growing online audiovisual archive of social movements in Turkey). Her recent video work focuses on 'the violence of representation' and 'representation of violence'
