DESCRIPTION

이 작품은 로스앤젤레스가 그 배경으로, 그곳의 청소년들을 출연시켰다. 영화는 그들의 차 안팎에서 펼쳐지는 그들의 장난기 많으면서도 애석한 대화를 따라간다. 그들은 안락과 연결에 대한 그들의 판타지에 대해 이야기하고, 그들의 대화는 마치 꿈같은 시나리오를 떠올리게 한다.

Lick In The Past premiered as part of Prouvost’s first solo exhibition in Los Angeles A Way To Leak, Lick, Leek at Fahrenheit/FLAX Foundation. The outcome of an earlier residency at Fahrenheit, Lick In The Past was cast with adolescent Angelinos and filmed around Los Angeles.The film tracks these characters in playful, wistful conversation in and around their car. They speak of their fantasies of comfort and connection and invoke dreamlike scenarios

 

 

 로르 프로보스트

1978년에 프랑스 릴에서 출생한 로르 프로보스트는 영국 런던과 벨기에 앤트워프를 오가며 활동 중이다. 2011년에 막스 마라 여성 미술상을 수상한 이후, 프랑스인 예술가로는 최초로 영국에서 태어났거나 거주 중인 현대 작가에게 주어지는 영예로운 터너 상을 수상했다. 최근에는 미국 로스앤젤레스의 Fahrenheit와 독일 뮌헨의 예술의 집에서 개인전을 가졌다.
 

 

 Laure PROUVOST

Laure Prouvost was born in 1978 in Croix-Lille, France. She lives and works in London, UK and Antwerp, Belgium. After receiving the Max Mara Prize for Women [2011], Prouvost was the first French artist to win the prestigious Turner Prize for contemporary British artists and/or living in Great Britain. Recent solo exhibitions include A Way To Leak, Lick, Leek at Fahrenheit, Los Angeles [2016]; DER ÖFFENLICHKEIT: Laure Prouvost at Haus Der Kunst, Munich.
