ARTIST'S NOTE

무하마드는 전쟁을 피하기 위해 시리아에 있는 그의 집을 떠나야 했다. 그는 그리스에서 "난민"'으로 불려왔지만, 그의 피난생활은 열악한 환경의 텐트에서 이어져왔다. 그는 우리가 <MARAHBA : can u hear him?>을 제작한 애니메이션 워크숍에 참여했다.

Muhammad had to leave his house in Syria escaping the war. In Greece he's been called a refugee, but his "refuge" has been a tent with poor living conditions. He participated in the animation workshop where we produced MARHABA: can u hear him?

에밀리오 마르티 로페즈

에밀리오 마르티 로페즈는 1978년 발렌시아 출생의 애니메이터이자 미술 치료사이다. 그의 예술 작품은 대개 활동적이며 실험적이고, 이민, 성적 다양성, 정치 등의 사회적 이슈를 주로 다룬다. 그는 애니메이션과 Desanimado, CIE와 같은 다큐멘터리 제작자이며 동시에 교육자이기도 하다. 2011년에 발표된 Desanimado와 2016년에 발표된 스페인 외국인 교도소를 다룬 예술 다큐멘터리인 CIE와 같은 그의 영화들은 수 많은 국제대회와 국내대회에서 수상했다.

Emilio Martí 

Emilio Martí (Valencia, 1978) is an animator and art therapist. His artistic work is usually activist and experimental, and it often deals with social issues (migration, sexual diversity, politics). In addition to producing animation and documentary (Desanimado, CIE), he is an educator and researches. Among his films are Desanimado (Unanimated, 2011), which has won numerous international and national awards, and CIE (2016), an art-documentary on the prisons for foreigners in Spain.
