DESCRIPTION

주변의 모든 것을 망라하는 괴물, 페루의 아마존은 멜리사를 집어삼켜 버렸다. 자신의 집 문앞에서 놀던 그녀가 흔적도 없이 사라진 것이다. 멜리사를 매우 사랑하고, 이 세상에 남겨진 채 그녀의 부재가 가져온 고독을 견뎌야 하는 부모님의 마음에서는 그녀가 살았을 수도 있었던 조각조각의 인생에 대한 생각이 떠나지 않는다.

The Peruvian Amazon is the all-encompassing monster that swallowed Melisa, who disappeared without a trace while playing on her doorstep. The fragments of lives she might have lived haunt her loving parents, who are left to deal with the loneliness of her absence.

안네 티메Anne Thieme

안네 티메(Anne Thieme)는 (구)동독 출신의 시나리오 작가이자 영화감독이다. 단편 영화 INTERSTATE 8로 독일영화아카데미의 First Steps Award를 수상했다. 베를리날레 탤런츠(Berlinale Talents)와 아피찻퐁 위라세타쿤(Apichatpong Weerasethakul)과 함께한 페루 아마존 Creators Lab의 참가자다. 그녀의 작업은 현실을 마법적인 차원으로 끌어올리며, 인간의 본성과 사회의 경계, 자유, 지평선을 탐구한다.

Anne Thieme, born in the former East Germany, is a screenwriter and director. Her film INTERSTATE 8 won the German Film Academy First Steps Award and she is an alumnus of Berlinale Talents as well as the Creators Lab with Apichatpong Weerasethakul in the Peruvian Amazon. Her projects elevate reality onto a magical pedestal while exploring human nature, edges of societies, freedom and the horizon.
