3부작 <(자아)인식을 위한 공간으로서의 자연>은 인간과 자연의 양가적인 관계를 다룬다. 비언어적이고 밀도 높은 이 작품들은 자연(들)에 대한 인간적이고 위험한 시각을 드러낸다. 자연과 풍경 공간의 사회적 속성을 다루며 인간의 무의식을 투영하는 스크린의 기능이 어느 정도까지 할 수 있는지에 대한 의문을 제기한다.

인간과 환경 사이의 관계를 성찰하고 고전적인 형식의 자연 영화 장르적 관습에 의문을 제기하는 작품이다. 사실상 자연 다큐멘터리에서 금지되는, 카메라를 향한 동물의 응시는 카메라를 겨냥하고 동물은 시선의 수신자이자 발신자로 설정된다. 자연과 풍경 다큐멘터리로 시작했지만 실험적인 에세이 영화로 탈바꿈하는 등 장르 경계 사이를 오가며 예측 가능한 내러티브를 약화시킨다. 익숙한 환경은 정지와 움직임, 리얼리즘과 최면, 자연과 인공 사이에서 혼란스러워 하며 구불 구불 흘러간다.

<암부>에서는 소위 "브로켄 유령" 또는 일식 중 핀홀 현상과 같이 자연에서 발생하는 희귀한 광학 현상을 집중 연구한다. 이러한 오래되고 자연적 현상은 인간 진화 이전에 이미 존재했던 문화 및 장치와는 독립된 이미지로 여겨질 수 있다. 비물질성 내에서 영화적 이미지의 선구자이다. 현상과 장치, 원형과 이미지, 자아와 자아 인식 사이에서 시각적 대화가 일어난다.

The trilogy NATURE(S) AS SPACES OF (SELF-)PERCEPTION deals with the ambivalent relationship of human to nature. The non-verbal and atmospherically dense works reveal a human and speculative view of nature(s). They deal with the social attributions that nature and landscape spaces experience and pose the question of the extent to which they function as a projection screen for the human unconscious.

- STILL LIFE

STILL LIFE reflects on the relationship between man and his environment and questions the genre conventions of the classic nature film. Thus, the animal's gaze into the camera, which is forbidden for nature documentaries, is virtually aimed at and the animal is established as part of and opposite the recipient. What begins as a nature and landscape documentary is transformed into an experimental essay film that oscillates between the genre boundaries and undermines their predictable narrative. A familiar environment takes on disconcerting features and meanders between stillness and movement, realism and hypnosis, naturalness and artificiality.

The film describes the work cycles in an open-pit mine where limestone is mined, which is returned to nature in the form of liming forests. The plot constructs an absurd but authentic cycle in order to counteract the irreversible consequences that occur when natural resources are depleted. Beginning in a descriptive mode, it transfers into a spectral alternative world that examines our ambivalent relationship with nature.
- UMBRA

UMBRA is dedicated to rare optical phenomena that occur in nature like the so-called "Brocken spectre" or the pinhole effect during a solar eclipse. These ancient and natural projections can be regarded as images independent of culture and apparatus that were already present before human evolution. In their immateriality they are precursors of the cinematic image. A visual dialogue arises between phenomenon and apparatus, archetype and image, self and self-perception.
