  에밀리야 슈카르눌리테(1987년생, 빌뉴스)는 예술가이자 영화감독이다. 다큐멘터리와 상상의 세계를 넘나들며 우주와 지질학에서 생태와 정치에 이르기까지 심원한 시간과 보이지 않는 구조를 탐구하는 영화와 몰입형 설치 작품을 제작한다. 테이트 모던, 런던(2021), 쿤스트하우스 파스카트, 빌/비엔(2021), 페르마질, 시옹(2023), 덴 프리, 코펜하겐(2021), 빌뉴스 국립미술관(2021), 빌뉴스 현대미술센터(2015), 퀸스틀러하우스 베타니엔, 베를린(2017) 등에서의 개인전에서 작업을 선보였다. 제22회 밀라노 트리엔날레에 리투아니아 대표로, 2018년 베니스 건축비엔날레의 발틱 파빌리온에 참가했다. IFA, 카디스트 재단, 퐁피두 센터 컬렉션에 작품이 소장되었고, 런던의 서펜타인 갤러리, 파리의 퐁피두 센터, 뉴욕 현대미술관 및 여러 영화제에서 상영된 바 있다.

  Emilija Škarnulytė (b. Vilnius, Lithuania 1987) is an artist and filmmaker. Working between documentary and the imaginary, Škarnulytė makes films and immersive installations exploring deep time and invisible structures, from the cosmic and geologic to the ecological and political. Her work was presented in solo exhibitions at Tate Modern, London (2021); Kunsthaus Pasquart, Biel/Bienne (2021); Ferme-Asile, Sion (2023); Den Frie, Copenhagen (2021); National Gallery of Vilnius (2021); Contemporary Art Centre CAC of Vilnius (2015), Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin (2017). She represented Lithuania at the XXII Triennale di Milano and participated in the Baltic Pavilion at the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale. She has films in the collections of the IFA, Kadist Foundation and Centre Pompidou, and they have been screened at the Serpentine Gallery in London, Centre Pompidou in Paris, Museum of Modern Art in New York, and numerous film festivals.
