ARTIST'S NOTE

인간은 일견 자신이 구원될 것이라 믿으며 정상성의 범주를 지켜왔다. 이 믿음은 비인간의 영역에 위치한 존재들보다 우월하다는 인식을 심어 인간 이외의 존재에 대한 존엄성을 무시했고, 인간 사이의 또 다른 단절을 불러오는 화근이 되었다. 순환의 연결 속에서 발생되는 책임을 잊지 않고 다시금 자연으로 회귀해야 하지 않을까. 체화(體化)는 물체로 변화함 혹은 사상, 생각이 몸에 배어 자기 것이 됨을 의미한다. 우리는 완전한 타자에게서 다시금 스스로를 발견해 마주볼 수 있다. 저마다 자신만의 꽃을 피워내 다채로운 꽃밭이 된 세상을 꿈꿔보았다.

Humans have distinguished between normal and abnormal according to their own beliefs. Such beliefs have disregarded the dignity of non-human beings by creating the impression that humans are superior to beings from the non-human realm, which has become the root of further division among humans. Perhaps it is time for us to return to nature without forgetting the responsibility that comes from the natural cycle. "Chaehwa" means to transform oneself into an object, an idea or a thought that is ingrained in the body and becomes one's own. We are able to discover and meet ourselves in complete strangers. I dreamed of a world where everyone could blossom their own flower and create a colorful flower garden.
