  자나이나 바그너Janaina Wagner

  예술가이자 영화 제작자인 자나이나 와그너(1989년 상파울루 출생)는 비디오, 드로잉, 설치 작업을 하고 있다. 현재 프랑스 르 프레노이 국립현대미술학교(Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains)에서 박사 과정을 밟고 있는 그녀의 작품은 인간이 주변 환경에 질서와 통제 시스템을 부과하는 방식에 대한 비판적 이해를 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다. 그녀의 마지막 단편 영화인 '쿠루피라와 운명의 기계'(2021)는 전 세계 50개 이상의 페스티벌과 전시회에서 상영되었다. 자나이나는 가스웍스(영국), FID 캠퍼스 - 국제 마르세유 시네마 페스티벌(프랑스), 볼사 팜풀라(브라질), 페스티벌 몽드 포시블 - 테아트르 낭테르-아망디에(프랑스), 카사 토마다(브라질), 아나르카데디아 W139(네덜란드), NES 스카가스트뢴드(IS) 등 여러 예술 레지던시에 참여했다. 주요 전시 중 하이라이트로는 Baleia Fantasma - Pivô Arte e Pesquisa (BR), Ensaio de Tração - Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo (BR), Garganta - CIAJG - Centro Internacional das Artes José de Guimarães (PT), Aliens are temporary - Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien (DE), Casa Carioca – MAR Museu de Arte do Rio de Janeiro (BR) and Cuando no hay sombra es mediodía, Nube (BO)가 있다. 자나이나는 미술과 저널리즘 학사 학위를 받았으며 중학교에서 비디오를 가르치고 있다. 그녀는 이야기, 사실, 이미지, 기억의 별자리를 통해 진보와 유산의 개념이 어떻게 표현되는지 고민한다. 현재 루베와 상파울루 사이에서 거주하며 일하고 있다.

  Artist and filmmaker Janaina Wagner (São Paulo, 1989) works across video, drawing and installations. Currently a Phd fellow at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains (FR), her work aims to present a critical understanding of the ways in which humans impose systems of order and control upon their surroundings. Her last short film, Curupira and the machine of the destiny (2021), screened in over 50 festivals and exhibitions worldwide. Janaina participated in several artistic residencies, such as Gasworks (UK), FID Campus - Festival International de Cinéma de Marseille (FR), Bolsa Pampulha (BR), Festival Mondes Possibles - Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers (FR), Casa Tomada (BR), Anarcademia W139 (NL) and NES Skagaströnd (IS). Janaina has a BA in Fine Arts and in Journalism, and teaches video at middle school. She considers how notions of progress and legacy are articulated through a constellation of tales, facts, images and memories. She lives and works between Roubaix and São Paulo.
