미얀마의 과거가 세 개의 장으로 제시된다. 첫째, 영국 제국주의의 그림자를 엿볼 수 있는 양곤 동물원의 박제 동물에 대한 연구. 둘째, 나라가 반복되는 방식과 비슷하게 원을 그리며 이동하는 오랜 기계인 양곤 순환선 열차에 대한 연구. 마지막으로, 부조리와 절망이 공존하는 미얀마의 프로파간다 박물관에 대한 연구.
The past of Myanmar is presented in three chapters: first, research on the stuffed animals at the Yangon Zoological Garden, where we can see the shadow of British Imperialism; second, research on the Yangon Circle Line Train, an old machine that moves in a circle, similar to the way the country repeats itself; and finally, research on Myanmar’s museum of propaganda, a place where absurdity and hopelessness co-exist.

프라팟 지와랑산은 태국의 시각예술가이자 영화감독으로, 영국왕립예술대학을 졸업했다. 그는 사진, 슬라이드, 비디오 등 다양한 미디어를 활용하여 태국의 역사, 기억, 정치, 특히 이주라는 주제와 관련된 관계들을 조사하고 재현하는 창의적 탐험을 하고 있다. 지난 6년간 동남아시아의 이주 노동자들이 직면한 문제를 다루는 작품을 리서치하고 제작해 왔으며, <Ploy>(2020), <Parasite Family>(2021) 그리고 <미얀마 아나토미>는 각각 제71회, 제72회, 제74회 베를린국제영화제 ‘포럼 익스팬디드’에서 소개된 바 있다.
Prapat Jiwarangsan is a visual artist and film director from Thailand. He graduated from the Royal College of Art (RCA). He incorporates a variety of media, particularly photography, slides, and videos, to investigate and represent the relationships between history, memory, and politics in Thailand especially in relation to the theme of migration. Jiwarangsan has spent the last six years researching and creating artwork that tackles the issues faced by migrant workers in Southeast Asia. Notable results of his work, including <Ploy> (2020), <Parasite Family> (2021), and <Myanmar Anatomy> (2024), have been selected for the Berlinale Forum Expanded in 2021, 2022, and 2024, respectively.
