버블스와 주디는 마담 리디아 바질로바의 가장 중요한 무용단원이다. 버블스는 그녀의 화려한 춤으로 남성들의 관심을 끈다. 반대로, 주디는 덜 화려한 발레를 좋아한다. 아내와 별거 중인 지미 해리스는 바실로바 공연단이 있는 나이트클럽에서 버블스와 주디를 만난다. 지미와 주디는 서로에게 끌려 버블스가 질투하게 만든다.

Bubbles (Ball) and Judy (O’Hara) are the most important members of the dance company of Madame Lydia Basilova (Ouspenskaya). Bubbles attracts male attention with her sexy dances. In contrast, Judy favors the less showy ballet. Jimmy Harris (Hayward), separated from his wife, meets Bubbles and Judy at the nightclub where the Basilova troupe is performing. Jimmy and Judy quicky become attracted to each other, making Bubbles jealous.
