Ahn Jeongyoon studied media arts at the Academy Minerva in the Netherlands. She won the Rising Artist Award at NEMAF(2010) and the Korean EXiS Award at the Experimental Film & Video Festival in Seoul(2016). Her work has been presented at IFFR(Rotterdam), MMCA(Seoul), KCCUK(London), LA Filmforum, EUKARYOTE(Tokyo), Rooftop films(New York).

My work centers on non-fiction cinema, particularly documentaries. Since 2012, I have directed five short films and four feature-length films. In 2018, I received the Best Korean Documentary Award at the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival for , and in 2021, I was awarded the Pak Nam-ok Award for .

Ph.D. in Film Studies and lecturer at Chung-Ang University. His research focuses on cinematic representations of history and memory, posthuman, sci-fi films, and auteur studies. He has published scholarly works including “Jean-Luc Godard’s Metahistory”, “Cinematic Figuration on the Historicity of Refugee” “Posthuman Ontology of Female-figured Intelligent Machines in Contemporary Sci-fi Films”, as well as the monograph “Key Issues in 21st-Century Sci-fi Films”. He has also served as a programmer for the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival and as a member of the Video Subcommittee of the Korea Media Rating Board.

Soojin Kwon is a film and media scholar as well as a video artist working at the intersection of contemporary art and technology. Based on her theoretical research in visual art and media, she has consistently combined critical inquiry with creative practice through the medium of moving images. She studied Communication Design at Parsons School of Design in New York, earned her MA in Media Studies from The New School, and completed a Ph.D. in Film Theory at Chung-Ang University’s Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science. Her doctoral research focused on found footage experimental films, analyzing anti-aesthetic forms and the deconstruction of bodily images to explore new sensory frameworks in cinema. Her key areas of research include media archaeology, experimental films, sensory theory, and data-based art, with a critical examination of how technological media reshape human perception and experience. She has presented her work in both domestic and international academic journals and conferences. In 2025, at a lecture hosted by Art Sonje Center, she proposed experimental film as an artistic tool that provokes perceptual shifts rather than being merely formal experimentation. As an artist, she has exhibited at festivals such as the Seoul International Experimental Film Festival and the New Media Art Festival, with works that explore the relationships between technology, memory, and the body. Through her hybrid approach, she continues to expand the social meaning of art.

Sue Jungsuh Lim is a Seoul-based multidisciplinary artist and creative producer, whose practice explores how art can evoke a ‘cinematic moment’ in someone’s life. She studied Graphic Design, Multimedia Moving Images, and Time-based Media across New Zealand, South Korea, and Austria. Her artistic career began with a short film she directed in 2013, which was invited to the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival and the Seoul International NewMedia Festival (NeMaf). Expanding her work across diverse formats, Sue is currently exhibiting a counter-mapping piece—developed during the UR Climate Data Field Lab in Kathmandu (2024)—at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale.

A film critic and film history researcher. Debuted in 2014 by receiving the New Critic Award from the Korean Association of Film Critics and has contributed reviews to various publications. Currently serves as a contributing writer for Le Monde Diplomatique’s Cinema Critique section. With a background in Korean literature, received a Ph.D. in 2019 with a dissertation on film censorship in 1970s Korean cinema. Teaches courses on theater and film at the university level. Maintains an ongoing interest in the history of Korean cinema and, as a research professor at a university-affiliated institute, is conducting research on the relationship between genre films and censorship.

Film critic. He began his career in 2021 when he won the 3rd Independent Film Criticism Award. He has written about movies, games, art, and media movements in various media. He studied Art Studies and Cultural Studies. He is currently a member of the Criticism Section of the The Association of Korean Independent Film & Video.

Singer-songwriter. Actor. Meditation and yoga guide. Planner and producer of the compilation series "Please Tell Us Your Story", dedicated to the victims of the Japanese military “comfort women” system. Vocalist of the indie band Sogyumo Acacia Band. Currently engaged in diverse studies with a deep interest in a peace regime on the Korean Peninsula and in East Asia, and in the connectivity of the Eurasian continent.

Currently a Research Professor at the Educational Research Institute for AI–Contents Future Industry at Chung-Ang University. She earned her Ph.D. in Film Studies with the dissertation "A Study on Visualization Strategy and Alternative Histories of Contemporary Archival Film," and her research focuses on film, new media, media archives, cultural memory, and postcolonial theory. She previously served as a Senior Researcher at the Research Center for Arts and Gender at Korea National University of Arts, and as a programmer for the Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. She has also served on juries for film awards including the Blue Dragon Film Awards, and contributed as a film columnist for The Kukmin Daily and various online film magazines.

Changmin Lee is a documentary filmmaker and scholar. He studied Catholic theology, documentary filmmaking, and film theory at university and graduate school, and earned his Ph.D. with a dissertation that proposes an apocalyptic reading of Béla Tarr’s second-period films. He has directed and produced several documentaries and experimental films, and was awarded the Audience Jury Prize at the 19th Seoul International ALT Cinema & Media Festival (NeMaf). He has taught film production and theory at institutions including the Korea National University of Arts and the Catholic University of Korea.

After working as a curator in both the United States and Korea and witnessing the rise and fall of alternative art spaces in both countries, I entered a Ph.D. program and presented a dissertation that examined the relationship between economy, society, and art through the lens of Niklas Luhmann’s social systems theory. I came to resonate with the worldview of operational constructivism—central to the theory—which posits that the world, including art, is defined and renewed through the accumulation of recursive communication. Over time, my research has increasingly focused on the nature of art and the conditions of human communication that make its perception and meaning possible. I now primarily explore and write about the epistemology of visual art.

Daechan Heo is a researcher, curator, and educator in the fields of media art and design, focusing on the contemporary environment shaped by technology and media, along with the phenomena and human activities within it. He is actively involved in various initiatives to promote the circulation and archiving of Korean media art. He currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the media arts channel ALICEON.co.kr(2019-), the head of the game research group The Play, and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Design History Society of Korea. Heo has co-curated the Open Media Art Festival (2021-2022) and the KIAF 2023 Media Art Special Exhibition. He has also led educational planning and execution for initiatives like the Creative Arts Education Lab at the ARTE(KOREA ARTS & CULTURE EDUCATION SERVICE) and Contents Impact Program at the Korea Creative Content Agency. Additionally, he has collaborated on mentoring and professional support projects with Art Korea Lab of the Korea Arts Management Service and Hyundai ZER01NE. Recently, he has co-curated and co-authored Re:Media Art of Korea since 2000 with Art Center Nabi.

Youjin JEON is a multidisciplinary artist who began her career in film scoring before expanding her practice into sound art, performance, and sculpture, experimenting with new media technology. She is also a member of Seoul Express, an artist collective that creates narrative-based media works. In 2017, she founded Woman Open Tech Lab in Seoul, which engages critically with the practice of technology from a feministic perspective and seeks to foster a non-hierarchical technology culture. She is currently a visiting professor at Dongguk University and has directed public programmes including The Technology for Resistance.

Studied Art History and Philosophy. Previously worked as a curator at the alternative visual culture center iGong, and is currently involved in exhibition planning at a cultural foundation, exploring cross-genre connections across various media.
